Web IMs

I work on a Sunray at office with Solaris as the OS. Most of the time, I have trouble getting a good Messaging client to work on Solaris. I have to use the inbuilt Gaim with Solaris and try to configure it to work, or the worst case, have to get a decent application client to get it installed on Solaris and then start to communicate. At home, also, I have problems, but at a lesser scale - I have Os X. Recently, I found the web based IM sites .... koolim and meebo. I haven't explored both of these much, but for the first try, i could get intomy different accounts from these site .... good start, I suppose - but this was on my ibook at home - at office, I have yet to explore and find which one works - especially with the proxy and other settings configured. - but one great idea i liked is the need to avoid downloading any specific IM client application to the box you work and then use it - this is really a gift when, you work on different OSes at different times, but still want to be connected to your friends !

One request to both the sites ... try to include an interface for Skype also :)
